Momentum will be key as some of Asia’s brightest young stars arrive at Sta. Elena Golf Club for International Series Philippines presented by BingoPlus, eager to take things to the next level after some standout performances in recent weeks.
Taking place from 23-26 October, the tournament is the first of four elite-level events in five weeks on the Asian Tour calendar that will decide who progresses to the LIV Golf League for the 2026 season. With nine events on the calendar this season, time is running out for some of the talent looking to translate their Asian Tour form onto The International Series.

Taiwan’s Wang Wei-hsuan has been knocking on the door all season. Following a tied-second finish at the Yeangder TPC, a solo-third at the Mercuries Taiwan Masters, and another runner-up finish last week at the SJM Macao Open, Wang sits 11th on the Asian Tour Order of Merit. At 65 on The International Series Rankings, he needs to replicate that form fast, starting in the Philippines.
“I’ve come close to winning a few times this season, finishing runner-up in Yeangder really gave me a lot of confidence,” said the 26-year-old. “I knew after that event that I had the game to win on the Asian Tour. Securing my card early allowed me to play more freely, that was a big turning point for me.
“I’ve always been a long hitter, so playing with more freedom has really helped. I will just stick to my routine, stay aggressive, and focus on each shot,” he added. “Even with such a strong field, I’m not feeling much pressure. I'm enjoying every moment - and I really believe a win is coming soon.”

Home favorite Sean Ramos is another player to watch after a string of impressive results - a T7 finish at the SJM Macao Open, following a T22 at International Series Morocco and T19 at the Jakarta International Championship. He’s 75th on the Rankings, but looking to make a move on home soil.
“After a top 10 in Macau and a top 20 in Jakarta, I’m feeling confident heading into the week,” the 20-year-old shared. “It’s really exciting to play my first International Series event on home soil - there’s definitely extra motivation.
“Playing at home gives me the freedom to just play my own game and not overthink things,” he added. “The goal is always to aim high - of course, a win would be amazing, but I’m focused on enjoying my golf.”

Malaysia’s Ervin Chang also enters the week on a high after earning his best finish of the season - a top 10 in Macau. At 97 in the table, he also needs a big move. Despite a stellar field featuring former world No.1 Dustin Johnson among a host of LIV Golf talent and Asian Tour high-fliers hungry for success, he is undaunted.
“Finishing in the top 10 in Macau was a great boost,” said Chang. “Having my coach with me really helped - we worked on game planning, course management, and building confidence throughout the rounds.
“This week’s field is very strong, but I’m approaching it like any other event. I’ve seen most of these players all year, so I don’t feel out of place. Having the LIV guys here just raises the bar – it is a great chance to test my game against some of the best.”
International Series presented by BingoPlus will pair elite competition with a vibrant entertainment experience, featuring headline concerts, premium hospitality, live music, gourmet dining, and immersive fan activities throughout the week.
The International Series is the most prized pathway in golf. It consists of a set of elite tournaments sanctioned by the Asian Tour and offers the year-long Rankings Winner & Runner-Up promotion to the LIV Golf League.
