Yuan hoping consistency is key heading into Saudi showpiece

2025-11-15

Australia’s Kevin Yuan is hoping that his form is peaking at the right time as he prepares for the series finale on The International Series, with two coveted LIV Golf League places still at stake.

The 28-year-old finished tied for sixth alongside South Africa’s Jaco Ahlers at the recent Moutai Singapore Open, leaving him 21st on the Rankings race.

That guarantees the Australian a place in the LIV Golf Promotions event in January, where a further two golden tickets to LIV Golf will be available.

However with elevated points on offer at the PIF Saudi International powered by SoftBank Investment Advisers, there is still everything to play for.

“I’m really looking forward to Saudi,” he said. “It’s always one of the biggest events on the schedule, and with so much on the line this year, it’s going to be an exciting finish. I’ve also qualified for the LIV Golf Promotions event, which I played in before — it’s such a unique and intense format. Every round matters, and that makes it really fun.”

Yuan’s 2025 campaign has been marked by consistency, with top finishes including T8 at International Series India presented by DLF, T19 in Macau, T10 in Morocco, and T3 at the Mandiri Indonesia Open on the Asian Tour.

“My ball-striking hasn’t been perfect lately, but my short game has really saved me, and I’ve been rolling the putter well,” he added. “Overall, I’m happy with where I’m at. Finishing inside the top 20 on the Order of Merit in such strong fields gives me confidence heading into Saudi and beyond.”

International Series Morocco winner and 2022 Rankings champion Scott Vincent leads the Rankings after his victory in Rabat and second-placed finish in the Jakarta International Championship, where he lost on a play-off to Wade Ormsby.

The Zimbabwean is a firm favourite to make a return to the LIV Golf League where he enjoyed two seasons with Iron Heads GC.

International Series India presented by DLF winner Ollie Schniederjans sits in fifth place, followed by Jakarta champion Ormsby in sixth and Japan’s Kazuki Higa in 10th. The remaining positions inside the top ten are held by four LIV Golf players.

Elevated points in the US $5 million series finale at Riyadh Golf Club from 19–22 November mean there is still plenty at stake, including the coveted LIV Golf spots and the two additional golden tickets which will be available at the third edition of the LIV Golf Promotions event in January 2026 in Florida.

The PIF Saudi International powered by SoftBank Investment Advisers will take place from 19–22 November at Riyadh Golf Club, featuring a massive field of LIV Golf stars and the finest players from the Asian Tour.
