After making headlines with his memorable victory at the International Series Philippines presented by BingoPlus, Miguel Tabuena has become the face of Filipino golf on the global stage. He carries the hopes of an entire nation going into the PIF Saudi International powered by SoftBank Investment Advisers.
Currently ranked third on The International Series Rankings, Tabuena remains firmly in contention for one of two coveted LIV Golf spots available this season, heading into the series finale at Riyadh Golf Club from 19-22 November.
His inspiring win on home soil pushed him to second place in the standings, but Japan’s Yosuke Asaji, who finished T2 in the Philippines, moved ahead of him with victory at the Moutai Singapore Open last time out.
Despite the tight race, the Filipino star remains composed and focused on his process rather than the outcome.

“It definitely wasn’t on my radar before the Philippines, but after that week at home, it certainly is now,” Tabuena said about the potential LIV Golf place next season. “Still, it’s not something I’m trying to force to happen.
“You can’t force these things - you just have to stick to your game plan, trust what works for you, manage your recovery, and let things happen naturally. You can’t force yourself to play well; you have to let it flow, be free out there, and just play your game.”
Tabuena’s form has been good over the past few events. Following his emotional home triumph at Sta Elena Golf Club, he recorded a T21 finish at the Link Hong Kong Open with four consistent rounds of 66-67-66-67, and a T18 result at the Moutai Singapore Open on 12-under par.
International Series Morocco winner and 2022 Rankings champion Scott Vincent leads the Rankings after his victory in Rabat and second-placed finish in the Jakarta International Championship, where he lost on a play-off to Wade Ormsby. The Zimbabwean is a firm favourite to make a return to the LIV Golf League where he enjoyed two seasons with Iron Heads GC.
International Series India presented by DLF winner Ollie Schniederjans sits in fifth place, followed by Jakarta champion Ormsby in sixth and Japan’s Kazuki Higa in 10th. The remaining positions inside the top ten are held by four LIV Golf players.
Elevated points in the US $5 million series finale at Riyadh Golf Club from 19–22 November mean there is still plenty at stake, including the coveted LIV Golf spots and the two additional golden tickets which will be available at the third edition of the LIV Golf Promotions event in January 2026 in Florida.
The International Series is the most prized pathway in golf. It consists of a set of elite tournaments sanctioned by the Asian Tour and offers the year-long Rankings Winner & Runner-Up promotion to the LIV Golf League.
