Scott Vincent kept himself firmly in the hunt at the season-ending PIF Saudi International powered by SoftBank Investment Advisers, producing a second-round showing that further strengthened his position as frontrunner for one of the coveted LIV Golf spots offered through The International Series Rankings.
The Zimbabwean carded a confident four-under-par round to move to eight-under, just six shots behind the lead and holding a share of 12th place heading into the weekend.

Currently sitting at No. 1 on The International Series Rankings, Vincent leads Japan’s Yosuke Asaji and Miguel Tabuena of the Philippines in the battle for the season-long title. With 324 elevated points awarded to the winner this week, the standings could shift dramatically — and Vincent knows a strong finish puts destiny in his own hands.
Despite a 4am wake-up call, Vincent delivered under pressure and closed his round in style.
“Yeah, it was a very early start. I think up at 4:00am. To play the way I did was just great. Obviously a little bit of pressure coming into today and this week, but I’m very thankful for how it went the first two days. Hopefully I can just free up and play some normal golf now.”
Vincent had earned a place on the LIV Golf League by winning the season-long race in 2022, and he admitted he is drawing on everything he has learned throughout his career to stay calm in one of the biggest weeks of his season.
“For sure you’re trying all the little tricks that you have. The mind tries to make this more important than it needs to be. I don’t know if I'm succeeding, but the first two days have been great and I’m looking forward to the weekend.”
With two direct LIV Golf League spots available through the Rankings, Vincent praised the widening pathway and the rising strength of both The International Series and Asian Tour.
“I think it’s great. The International Series is only getting better as the years go on. The tournaments are run well and the whole experience is good. There are more opportunities for us to pursue the Asian Tour to get onto LIV Golf. It’s a great opportunity for us.”

He also reflected on how the strengthening Asian Tour has elevated his game.
“The Asian Tour is getting stronger each year. Cuts are moving up, you need to play well to compete. It forces you to figure out the little things that help you improve. When the competition gets better, it pushes you to play better.”
Vincent has been disciplined in avoiding distractions, particularly leaderboard watching.
“Working out where everyone finishes? I gave up on that a long time ago. It’s not something you suddenly start doing this week - you practice it all year. ‘There’s a scoreboard, I’m not going to look.’ Just focus on what I’m doing.
“You want to come in here and play well. You don’t want to hope someone else doesn’t. It’s about the best prep, taking care of your things, and controlling what you can. I couldn’t wait to get started.”
The PIF Saudi International powered by SoftBank Investment Advisers is the concluding event of the 2025 International Series season. The top two non-exempt players on the Rankings will secure direct qualification to the 2026 LIV Golf League, while those finishing inside the top 40 advance to January’s LIV Golf Promotions, where two more LIV Golf spots will be up for grabs.
The International Series is the most prized pathway in golf. It consists of a set of elite tournaments sanctioned by the Asian Tour and offers the year-long Rankings Winner & Runner-Up promotion to the LIV Golf League.
