Anthony Kim made his upward climb at the LIV Golf Promotions on Saturday, producing a bogey-free four-under-par 66 to surge up the leaderboard and strengthen his push for one of the three LIV Golf wild-card spots, while embracing the broader opportunities available through The International Series, including pathways into the major championships.

After narrowly making the cut by a single stroke following Round Two, Kim responded with a composed and clinical Round Three, producing a bogey-free performance that reflected his personal philosophy of getting “one percent better, one day at a time,” to finish the day tied for second alongside Thailand’s Jazz Janewattananond and South Africa’s Oliver Bekker.
“I feel great,” Kim said. “I just have an opportunity to get one of those spots. That’s what I asked for coming into this week, to put myself in a good position. Now I’ve just got to go finish.”
Kim’s third-round display was defined by discipline and execution, highlighted by a clutch putt on the 18th green to preserve his bogey-free card and keep momentum firmly on his side heading into the final round.
“It was a big deal for me mentally,” Kim said. “I knew that I was bogey-free, and I needed to make that 15-footer. I took a little bit more time to grind on it, hit a great putt, and luckily it went in.”
With 18 holes remaining and sitting just two shots off the lead, Kim said his focus would remain on process rather than position as he pursues a top-three finish.
“I’ve never played in a qualifier for three spots, so I don’t know how to do it,” he said. “But I’m just going to do what I’ve been doing, give myself as many opportunities as I can, get aggressive when I can, and hopefully the putts fall tomorrow.”

Beyond Promotions, Kim also welcomed the opportunities presented by The International Series, where he previously competed in five consecutive events and which features tournaments on the schedule offering direct pathways into major championships.
“The goal is to get back to playing at the highest level,” Kim said. “When you play against major championship winners week after week, you’re forced to get better, and it prepares you more for the majors. I’ve played in a few majors myself, so I’m looking forward to getting back out there.”
Kim also reflected positively on his experience competing in Asia through The International Series, noting the increasing depth and competitiveness of the fields, particularly with LIV Golf players regularly in contention.
“It was great,” he said. “There are a number of LIV guys that play, and it’s gotten more competitive. You still have to play golf wherever you are, so I know that if I just keep working, I’ll get there.”
The International Series is the most prized pathway in golf. It consists of a set of elite tournaments sanctioned by the Asian Tour and offers the year-long Rankings Winner & Runner-Up promotion to the LIV Golf League.
