Sato Shibuya, General Manager of Caledonian Golf Club, highlighted the unique atmosphere the tournament brings: “Having been involved in several professional tournaments, International Series Japan last year was the first time I experienced an event in Japan where golf was combined with music in such an engaging way. As a truly international tournament, it also reinforced how important it is for us to connect with a global audience.
Reflecting on the level of play, he added: “Watching the top players practice up close, their swing speed was remarkable. The international players were very approachable, which left a strong impression.”
Looking ahead to this year’s setup, Shibuya noted: “Compared to last year, the rough will be shorter, which should make approach shots more manageable, but the greens will be faster. We expect to see the players’ putting skills really come into play. Last year, the highest finish by a Japanese player was second place, this year, we hope to see one go all the way.”
Tickets for all four days of International Series Japan are available here, with complimentary entry on Thursday and Friday, and free admission for children throughout the tournament.
