Canadian finishes runner-up at Aramco LIV Golf Singapore, one shot behind star Bryson DeChambeau
International Series and Asian Tour standout Richard T. Lee has made LIV Golf history after recording the highest-ever finish by a Wild Card player, claiming runner-up honours at Aramco LIV Golf Singapore following a dramatic playoff with two-time U.S. Open champion Bryson DeChambeau.

Lee finished tied at 14-under with Crushers GC captain DeChambeau after four rounds, narrowly missing out on becoming the first Wild Card to claim a LIV Golf title after a bogey on the playoff hole. He had been in contention throughout the tournament, producing impressive golf over the final holes of a rain-delayed Sunday to push DeChambeau all the way to a playoff.
The Canadian enjoyed his breakthrough season on The International Series in 2024, securing victory at the BNI Indonesian Masters after earlier finishing tied second at International Series Thailand. The 35-year-old continued to impress across the platform in the 2025 Series with a tied-fifth finish at International Series Macau presented by Wynn, before a commanding performance in Florida earned him a LIV Golf League Wild Card spot for the 2026 season.
Despite stepping onto the LIV Golf stage, Lee remains a strong advocate for the Asian Tour and The International Series, which continues to serve as the key competitive pathway to the League. He has already confirmed his return to the Series opener, International Series Japan, taking place from 2–5 April.
Reflecting on the growing appeal of the circuit, Lee pointed to the opportunities now available to players across the Asian Tour and The International Series.
“Everyone wants to play on The International Series right now” Lee said. “There are a lot of benefits for players for sure, with bigger purses and a lot of strong competition. I am definitely planning my schedule so I can play most of the International Series events this year too.”
Lee now heads to South Africa with hopes of going one better at next week’s LIV Golf South Africa, before returning to action at International Series Japan from 2–5 April at Caledonian Golf Club. Tickets are now available here.
The International Series is the most prized pathway in golf. It consists of a set of elite tournaments co-sanctioned by LIV Golf and the Asian Tour and offers the year-long Rankings Winner & Runner-Up promotion to the LIV Golf League.
