Few players arrive at International Series Morocco presented by Visit Morocco in better form than Torque GC star Abraham Ancer. The Mexican will make his debut appearance in Rabat this week fresh from another podium finish on LIV Golf, arriving at Royal Golf Dar Es Salam with momentum firmly on his side and hopes of turning that form into a maiden International Series title.

Ancer's third-place finish at LIV Golf Andalucía follows a tied-third finish at LIV Golf South Africa. He opened the LIV Golf campaign this year with a tied-fourth finish in Riyadh and recently demonstrated his form on the Asian Tour with a tied-fifth result at the KOLON Korea Open.
The impressive run has reinforced the confidence of the former Presidents Cup star, who is looking forward to testing himself on a new stage in Morocco.
“Game is feeling really good, it's obviously nice when you can finish in the top three, especially against that field and on a golf course that is such a great test of golf. It definitely gives you a lot of confidence and believe a win is near.” said Ancer.
“I'm looking forward to this week. It's my first time here and I've only seen about nine holes so far, but it already looks like it's going to be a great week. The golf course is unbelievable, it's in fantastic condition, and I'm excited to get started.”
While his recent results suggest a player full of confidence, Ancer believes success at Royal Golf Dar Es Salam will require patience, precision and careful course management.
The 2024 LIV Golf Hong Kong winner was quick to identify the importance of positioning around the greens after his first look at the renowned Red Course.
“It's definitely a golf course where you need to know exactly where to position yourself coming into these greens; the greens have a lot of movement, and there are some really challenging pin locations available.”
Although this will be his first appearance in Morocco, Ancer has already made his mark on The International Series. He finished tied third at International Series India presented by DLF in 2025 and tied fourth at International Series England in 2023, consistently proving he can contend against the Series' elite fields. The star also recorded his first win on the Asian Tour in 2023 at the PIF Saudi International powered by SoftBank Investment Advisers.

Yet despite his strong record and current form, the 35-year-old remains focused on a simple process-driven approach.
“It doesn't really matter where I'm playing, my approach is always the same. I want to do my homework during practice, prepare as well as I can. At the same time, I don't like looking too far ahead or putting expectations on myself. I just focus on the shot in front of me and control what I can control. It sounds a little boring, but that's what works for me.”
With more than six weeks between LIV Golf Andalucía and the next LIV Golf event in the United Kingdom, Morocco also presents an opportunity for Ancer to stay sharp while competing on one of the most acclaimed layouts on the International Series calendar.
“We have about six and a half weeks off after this, so it's quite a long break. I'm not sure yet whether I'll play anything else during that period so this will be a nice stop to keep the game in place” he said.
