Two of the shining lights of Moroccan golf, Ayoub Lguirati and Hugo Mazen Trommetter, will lead an eight-man local challenge in a field featuring LIV Golf stars and winners from this season’s Asian Tour at International Series Morocco on Royal Golf Dar Es Salam’s Red Course in Rabat from 3–6 July.
Lguirati who grabbed the headlines in the 2022 edition with an impressive display that ultimately brought a T28 finish, returns to Rabat in decent form following T13 and T33 finishes at the ADT’s Morocco Rising Stars events in Marrakech.
Promising amateur Trommetter comes into the tournament as the leading local amateur, and he has a stellar collegiate record, including wins at the GIT-R-DONE Invitational, USA (2024) and Grand Prix l’Isle Adam, France (2023).
The pair head an impressive showing from Morocco that includes four further players from the professional ranks - El Mehdi Fakori, Soufiane Dahmane, Amine El Kharraz and Othman Raouzi - as well as amateurs Youssef and Reda El Hali.
The broader MENA region is also well represented with the Saudi Arabia trio of Othman Almulla, Khalid Walid Attieh and Faisal Salhab joined by UAE left-hander Ahmad Skaik, fresh from his triumph at the 2025 GCC Championship.
The field already features a strong LIV Golf contingent with defending champion Ben Campbell of New Zealand and 2011 Masters champion Charl Schwartzel joined by Americans Peter Uihlein, Caleb Surratt and Andy Ogletree as well as Chile’s Mito Pereira. Asian Tour 2025 champions Sadom Kaewkanjana from Thailand, Julien Sale from France and Australian Ryan Peake are also confirmed.
Rahul Singh, Head of The International Series, said: “International Series Morocco has always delivered unforgettable moments, and with this field we are looking forward to another extraordinary week of golf. This event truly embodies what The International Series is all about, with world-class talent on show and opportunities for players from the region to compete against some of the very best in the game.”
International Series Morocco takes place on the Royal Golf Dar Es Salam’s iconic Red Course from 3-6 July, and entry is free for all.
The International Series is the most prized pathway in golf. It consists of 10 elite tournaments sanctioned by the Asian Tour and offers the year-long Rankings leader promotion to the LIV Golf League.
