Two-time Masters champion Bubba Watson arrives at International Series Morocco presented by Visit Morocco this week carrying momentum from his strongest LIV Golf result of the season, but it is not only the competition that has captured his attention.
The RangeGoats GC captain has long embraced the opportunity to travel the world through golf, and those experiences are fueling a personal ambition away from tournament leaderboards, the possibility of one day designing and building a golf course of his own.

Making his debut appearance at Royal Golf Dar Es Salam, Watson headlines a world-class field in Rabat just days after recording a top-10 finish at LIV Golf Andalucía, his best result of the season to date.
While the iconic Moroccan venue presents a fresh challenge, it also offers another opportunity for Watson to study one of the game's most acclaimed layouts. Royal Golf Dar Es Salam was voted the Asian Tour's Players' Choice Course of the Year in 2025 and joins a growing list of international venues that have helped shape his appreciation for golf course architecture.
His first International Series appearance came at the BNI Indonesian Masters in 2024 at Royale Jakarta Golf Club, another venue that left a lasting impression.
"It's fun seeing a new part of the world," said Watson when asked about his experiences competing on The International Series.
"It's fun seeing a new golf course design and understanding why they designed it the way they did. I love taking in the architecture and learning from it.
"I enjoy seeing new landscapes and trying to understand the thinking behind the golf course design. It's fun playing golf courses you've never seen before, learning from them, and maybe one day using that creativity if I build my own course."

Watson arrives in Morocco encouraged by his recent form after a strong showing in Spain last week.
"I feel like I'm hitting it well," he said. "I didn't play my best last week, but you know you're gaining. In golf, you're always looking for momentum, and hopefully that carries through for the rest of the year."
With a demanding LIV Golf schedule behind him, Watson spent his first days in Morocco away from the golf course, prioritising recovery and family time before beginning his tournament preparations.
"I have not played the course yet," he said. "I knew we were going to play 18 holes today, so I just rested. I'm getting old, so I was resting.
"I took my kids to the zoo yesterday, so we've just had some fun the last couple of days in a new country."
While Watson is in Morocco with his family this week, he has also taken time to enjoy the country’s unique culture and attractions away from the course, embracing the opportunity to experience a new destination beyond golf.
